A Trip to KDD Juice Factory

I opened my eyes with a smile on my face as I knew that the day was going to be full of excitement. Wonder why??? Because we were going to the KDD juice factory. This exciting and well planned trip was organized by, and for the members of, MMK. All the excited children were picked up in a bus and we started for our visit. I had a lot of fun in the bus chatting and singing with my friends. The journey was so much fun that we didn’t even realize when we reached the factory.

It was a huge factory and we were wondering how the process of packing could beat this moment; we were greeted and welcomed by Mrs. Rachana who is the Manager of the processes in KDD. She explained us the complicated process and made it very easy for the children to understand.  Due to hygienic concern we were allowed to see the machines and the process only from the top. There were many complicated machines. First, we saw how flavored yogurt was made followed by milk, then thick cream and then finally the juice. We saw everything starting from how the packet of the juice was made and then how juice was filled and then attaching of straws and then finally stamping of the expiry date and sealing of a group of boxes. We were even showed how it is transported to the warehouse. The temperature in different sections was maintained differently. We also saw a video clip of the things again.

Overall it was a wonderful experience. We were given a packet of juice, milk and a KDD cap. The management was kind enough to allow us to take some snaps to keep the visit in our memory forever. We thanked Mrs. Rachana and the management for allowing us and making the visit a memorable one. I would like to thank MMK and their committee members. It was all because of them that we could have such a great visit!!!
